Finding Herself Again: Aartii Gupta’s Journey from Homemaker to Healer

SheLit recently spoke to Aartii Gupta, a homemaker, baker, and certified Access Bars therapist, who shared her inspiring journey of rediscovering her identity and embracing empowerment. In a heartfelt conversation, Aarti opened up about how she transformed her life by finding purpose beyond traditional roles.

While talking to SheLit, Aarti shared that she got married very early and spent most of her initial years dedicated entirely to her family. But over time, she started feeling a sense of emptiness. a feeling that she had lost herself. “I hadn’t done anything for myself,” she said. “I wanted to feel like me again.”

The Beginning: Baking as Self-Discovery

In search of her lost identity, Aarti turned to baking. What started as a hobby soon became a creative outlet and a source of confidence. “It was my first small step toward independence,” she recalled. “Baking gave me joy and a sense of achievement.”

However, during the COVID-19 lockdown, she faced intense criticism from people around her. Many questioned her need to work when her husband was already earning well. “People said I didn’t need to do anything,” she remembered. “Those words broke me, and I fell into depression.”

Healing Through Access Bars Therapy

During that difficult phase, Aarti discovered Access Bars Therapy, a healing practice that changed her life. She described it as a combination of science and spirituality. a gentle process where touching specific points on the head helps release emotional and mental blockages.

“After my first session, I felt a shift inside me,” she said. “I felt peace, clarity, and positivity for the first time in years.” Motivated by her experience, she decided to get trained and became a certified Access Bars therapist.

Aarti began applying the therapy to herself and others, helping many people overcome anxiety, depression, and stress.

“I’ve seen people transform, they become calmer, more positive, and more confident. I’m one of them,” she smiled.

Finding Balance and Gaining Respect

Balancing family, work, and self-growth wasn’t always easy. Aarti admitted that she still faces criticism for “doing too much” or “ignoring household duties.”

“Earlier, I used to take such comments very seriously,” she said. “But now I’ve learned to ignore unnecessary voices. I know what I’m doing and why I’m doing it.”

With pride in her voice, she shared how her family now sees her differently. “My husband and daughter are proud of me. Earlier, they didn’t understand why I wanted to work, but now they respect me for what I’ve achieved.”

What Empowerment Really Means

Talking about women’s empowerment, Aarti shared a message that resonates deeply with many women.

“Empowerment means equality:  giving women respect and dignity. A woman is not just someone who runs your home; she’s a human being with her own dreams and identity.”

She emphasized that women often link their identity to their husband or family, but true empowerment begins when a woman recognizes her own worth. “When you find your identity, your family starts respecting you even more,” she said.

A Message for Every Woman

Reflecting on her journey, Aarti said she once believed it was too late to start something new. But her experiences changed that belief. “It’s never too late,” she said. “The day you decide to start is your new beginning. Life doesn’t come with a deadline, take the first step, no matter your age.”

She believes that every woman’s healing begins with self-love. “Love yourself. Give yourself priority. Forget what others say and just be you.

Self-love is the key to everything : your healing, your peace, and your happiness.

As the conversation concluded, Aarti’s smile reflected calmness and strength : the kind that comes from truly knowing oneself. “Keep pushing yourself, learn new things, and never stop growing,” she said. “Only you can solve your problems and only you can shape your life.”
